(Memphis) A Memphis man is dead after Memphis police say he shot two of their officers. The officers were shot Tuesday while serving a warrant for a man accused of shooting two people earlier this month. TACT officer Timothy Jackson was shot in the leg while the warrant was being served and is in stable condition. Jackson has been with the TACT unit for five years. A second officer, Paul Hutchison, was shot several hours later when police threw a chemical device into the raided the home. Hutchison, with the department 15 years, was also shot in the leg and is recovering. Police say Aaron Dumas shot both officers at a home in the 1300 block of Worthington. After the second shooting, police say Dumas went back into the home and set it on fire. A body has been found in the home had been identified as that of Dumas. Dumas is wanted for the double shooting of a brother and sister. Both are recovering at The MED. Family members say the shooting is a result of domestic violence. Police reports indicate Dumas showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s home a week ago and shot Angelique White and her brother Christopher. Monday evening, their mother told us she considered Dumas extremely dangerous and was scared of him.
