MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mid-Southerners will have the opportunity to say goodbye to blues legend B.B. King this week at several events in Memphis and King’s hometown of Indianola, Miss.
Wednesday’s events are in downtown Memphis in Handy Park and on Beale Street. If you plan to attend, organizers have are asked that you wear blue in honor of King. WREG will be live streaming these services on wreg.com and our mobile apps. Here is the schedule:

Procession on Beale Street with a hearse, brass band, and King’s beloved guitar, Lucille
Portions of Third Street, Second Street and Peabody Place will be closed to traffic at times on Wednesday. You can also expect delays on Third Street from downtown through South Memphis when the procession moves towards his birthplace in Indianola, Miss.
The public is invited to a viewing at the B.B. King Museum there starting at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bell Grove M.B. Church in Indianola.
